Dr. Ben Carson says there is “No Such thing as a Politically Correct War”

Dr. Ben Carson was on the Fox News channel discussing a range of issues with Bill Hemmer when the conversation turned to the war on terror and our current problems in the Muslim world. After blaming the stagnation and impasses that seem to be routine in Washington, D.C. on hyper-partisanship, Carson discussed how the President can repair his legacy by learning to be a good leader instead of simply a good Democrat.

The definition of a good leader is someone who can take people who have different agendas and move them in the same direction to accomplish a goal. We have exactly the opposite of that going on right now. It’s not too late. If the president wants to have a good legacy, this would be a good time to start it…

We have people trying to manage the military who know nothing about the military, who know nothing about military strategy. Our military needs to know that they’re not gonna be prosecuted when they come back because somebody says, ‘you did something that was politically incorrect.’ There is no such thing as a politically correct war. We need to grow up, we need to mature. If you are going to have rules for war, you should just have a rule that says no war. Other than that, we have to win. Our life depends on it.
