Woman Attempts to Run Down Christian Protesters outside of Abortion Clinic

It is easy to understand. All of us, before we were saved, have faced those pesky Christians. They show up as we are about to have fun. For me, it was outside a Slayer concert in Greenville, SC. This youth group was telling us as we went in that Christ loved us and that we should avoid the Satan music. I knew they were right. I should not have been there, but I was irritated that they felt they had a right to tell me. By God’s grace, I did not act out. But God did not see fit to restrain a woman outside of a Charlotte Abortion Clinic.

A 23-year-old woman who attempted to run over a group of pro-lifers ministering at a North Carolina abortion facility this past weekend was arrested and now faces criminal charges for her actions.

Members of the pro-life group Cities4Life were present that day to provide women with alternatives to abortion, and as part of the outreach, the Monroe HELP Center had its mobile ultrasound unit parked alongside the street to offer women free ultrasounds and assistance. Courtney Parks, a nurse with the ministry, told Christian News Network that the RV is at the facility four times a week and has been a blessing in the lives of many women.

This is a great way for women to see what is going on in their wombs before they make the final decision on killing their baby. The ultrasound puts visual effects to prove that the baby is alive. This tool has been effective in saving many lives.

This was nothing, as it would get worse as time went on.

However, when Deese left the facility, Courtney realized that matters were about to get worse. He said that he wanted to offer Deese a booklet as she drove off, but soon saw that she began to direct her car right toward him—not to take the booklet, but to strike him as he stood in the grass just off the driveway.

Witnesses say that she was not finished. Deese returned several times aiming her car at other protesters. Many of whom were advanced in age. She was stopped as she drove erratically, and Deese cursed the person and continued to stir her car toward bystanders.

911 was called, and Deese left the scene.

Police soon tracked down Deese and took her into custody. Online arrest details state that Deese has been charged with “reckless driving to endanger.”

You would hope that there would have been stiffer charges. She could have easily caused serious injury or death. Ms. Deese shows the level of hatred the wicked can have toward those who do not encourage their sin. She did not want to be told that what she was doing was murder, so her answer was to terrify or hurt those who are bold enough to do just that. And though many would write Deese off as a nut, those she sought to hurt and silence have not.

“I’ve done a lot of spiritual warfare, and I knew it wasn’t the young lady [doing this]; it was the spirit behind her,” Courtney said. “Because I told her I loved her, my heart is that seed that Jesus planted there will grow. And if I never see the result, it’s just my prayer that Christ will come into her life.”

“We know this young lady is hurting,” Parks agreed. “We don’t hold any hard feelings for her. We’ve been praying for her. Our ultimate prayer is that she comes to know the Lord.”

May God grant all His people such a heart for the lost.
